Paulette Simone Smith
Founder, Canna Heals
Dr. Paulette S. Smith is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, where she teaches and develops courses in the Medical Cannabis Science & Therapeutics program.
She previously served as a teaching assistant in the program before advancing to her current role. Dr. Smith holds a Doctorate of Social Work from Simmons University and integrates her expertise in social work, trauma-informed care, and cannabis science into her teaching.
With a strong commitment to education and equity, she empowers students to critically engage with cannabis science, policy, and therapeutic applications to serve diverse communities better.
